I’m new at this, but I’m old at it as well. I’ve been “writing” for years. Or you might call it glorified note taking. At any rate, I have finally decided to sit down seriously with my scrips and scraps and hammer it out. But along the way, I’ve learned to look at the world of fantasy on screen with eyes that appreciate the words that inspire the images, and in print when a writer can cleverly and imaginatively tell a story.
I’ve also learned to learn from other people’s mistakes. All of us, at some point or another, have read a book or watched a movie where the writer, producer, or SOMEBODY along the way, has failed at logic, left gaping holes in the storyline, loose ends, shoddy dialogue, gratuitous profanity in place of meaningful dialogue to demonstrate a point, blah blah blah…
It is my hope, that I am able to transcend the literary flubs and produce a quality piece of work worthy of critical acclaim.
